Exercising Student’s Minds During Summer

When it comes to summer time, it is extremely common for kids to spend time exercising outside and enjoying their time off. However, we often see parents neglect to keep their children’s minds active and exercised while they are away from school. Did you know that mental exercise can help create new neurons, determine how they are used and even have an impact on how long they survive? Basically, without using your mind it can actually become out of shape just like your body!

Instead of having out watching electronic devices, urge your child to read for at least 20 minutes a day. This can help build critical thinking skills and also improve their overall ability to read. Looking for something to do with your children? Arts and crafts can be an excellent way to build problem solving skills, foster creativity and just have fun.
