General Information

Central College Christian Academy is chartered by the State of Ohio Department of Education and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. Our excellent faculty is comprised of licensed or certified teachers. Maximum enrollment is 22 students in each classroom.

Hours: Our school day begins at 8:55am and ends at 3:25pm. Students may arrive as early as 8:30am and are released to classrooms at 8:45am. Before and Aftercare are also available starting at 7:30am and ending at 6:00pm. Cost of scheduled care is $4.50 per hour with a discounted rate of $4.00 for siblings. Drop-in care is available at $5.00 an hour. Parents will be billed for each ½ hour actually spent in care.

Uniforms: CCCA has an established dress code in order to contribute to a more positive learning environment. To ensure consistency in color, style, and quality, we endorse the “School Apparel” (A+) brand of uniform clothing for all items and “Classroom” brand for adjustable pants and shorts. Specific guidelines for each apparel item are found in the Parent-Student Handbook, available online on ParentsWeb. The CCCA “Swap Shop” is available to share gently worn items at no cost.

School Calendar: In general, we follow the Westerville City Schools’ calendar for school days as well as inclement weather delays or closures. The CCCA calendar is published in late spring for the next school year.

Transportation: Parents should contact their District of residence to schedule transportation services. If you live within 30 minutes of CCCA you may be eligible to receive transportation services unless the District deems transportation impractical. In such cases, compensation may be provided by the District in lieu of transporting your child.

Lunch: Students may pack or purchase a hot lunch and milk, ordered a month in advance online via ParentsWeb. Parents and other relatives are welcomed to join or take their children out to lunch during the lunch/recess hour (12:00-1:00). K-1 dines during the first half hour while grades 2-5 are engaged in recess at that time. During the second half hour, the Upper School has lunch while the Lower School is at play.

Volunteering: Educational research confirms a high correlation between parent volunteerism and academic achievement. To this end, we strongly encourage parent involvement in both the classroom and participation in our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) which meets regularly throughout the school year.

Library: Students are scheduled to visit and check out books each week from our Library Learning Center. We hold Scholastic Book Fairs throughout the year to support our Library, ensuring the most up to date titles are available for our students.
